🏖(Sea)son Three: AMD Annual Beach Trip

Hey everyone! It’s time to recap all the fun activities the AMD girls were up to on this year's beach trip in Seaside, Florida. Summer is AMD’s busiest season, so, as tradition has it, we all pack our cars to the brim, load up, and head to the beach as the summer comes to a close. This is our team’s time to reset, relax, and celebrate all of the hard work we’ve put in as a team.

🤝2022 PARTNERSHIPS

This year we did things a little differently — We partnered with other businesses and shot content for them in return for their awesome products! We hope to continue this new tradition as collaborating with local businesses plays a huge role in our company’s values and our success over the years. This year’s partnerships included:

Sweet Home Spirits | Sweet Home Spirits is a grassroots alcohol brand that prides itself in crafting 10x distilled vodka and Alabama’s very own whiskey. Founded by Birmingham locals Austin Creel and Carl Baldone, this brand is all about Alabama’s beauty in one sip!

Homewood Bagel Co. | Homewood Bagel Co. is a family-owned bagel shop founded in January 2017. HBC is known for its handcrafted, baked-fresh-daily bagels made right here in Homewood! Their menu also includes sweet and savory cream cheese spreads, coffees + lattes, and delicious sandwiches.

Grayton Beer Co. | Grayton Beer Co. believes beer has the ability to transcend location, bring people together, mute the superfluous, and allow us to slow down. They offer refreshing craft beers that are a definite crowd pleaser.

Farm Bowl & Juice Co. | FBJ is a bowl, smoothie, and juice shop located in Homewood, AL. Their in-season ingredients are locally sourced from Alabama farmers, so every sip is fresh and supports local! Owner, Andrea Snyder, wanted to provide locals with a health oriented option to eat and drink!

El Viaje | El Viaje is our country’s first taste of the beautifully complex, agave-distilled spirit, Raicilla. Their raicilla is twice distilled in Jalisco, Mexico and will be brought to Birmingham for everyone to drink and enjoy!

Cala Coffee | Cala is a coffee brand with a mission to help others create Good Days! Your support helps create Good Days for farmers & the planet, as their coffees are sourced from sustainable & socially responsible farms. Start your day off with Cala — coffee you can feel extra good about!

Birmingham Lifestyle | Birmingham Lifestyle is a community-focused magazine that aims to connect the residents to the people, places and things that make our city special. They are inspired by the unique atmosphere our city has, and they highlight the most positive aspects of living here. From locally owned businesses to inspirational residents, their pages will be your guide.

Beach Better Co. | Book a land or sea box with Beach Better Co.! Serving Panama City Beach and 30A, this luxury beach rental company delivers boxes that include waters, charging port, fresh towels, ice, and orca cooler, so you can truly unwind and relax.

📸 FOR THE PLOT

We could not have asked for a better trip! Day one started off strong with a little gift bundle from Adelaide and our annual visit to Priester’s Pecans. After a meat and three that -almost- put Mary and Michelle out, we were back and beach bound.

Once we had arrived, it was time to check into our house! Thanks to 360 Blue, the home was IMMACULATE. After settling in, it was finally time for us to relax and hit the reset button. (When we say ‘relax’ sometimes that may mean driving to The Hub and crashing your local family night with an unwarranted kick-line on stage.)

The next day was time to HIT THE BEACH! Unfortunately, Day Two proved to be the only day with sunshine all day long, but we made the most of it! After copious amounts of sunscreen and floating in the waves, it was time for us to get ready for dinner at The Bay. We all ordered sushi, cocktails, and dessert! And as all outings go with our bunch, we wrapped up the night by an impromptu photoshoot!

That brings us to Day Three…CONTENT DAY. Except it rained for most of the day, so we woke up, had our Beach Better Co. clients over to shoot content, and spent the day indoors munching on a charcuterie board, grilled burgers, and grilled corn!

Thursday we started the day off right with breakfast from The Black Bear Bread Co. With breakfast and coffee in hand, we had exactly what we needed to do a little work, shoot some more content, and get dressed up for the evening. Our night started with an awesome dinner at The Red Bar. The tuna dip was to die for; however, we ordered espresso martinis and, believe it or not, we would not recommend that combination. The rest of the dinner was amazing - we all enjoyed pasta and fresh grouper. Afterwards, we walked to the beach for a beach bonfire, booked through 30A Blaze.  They did an incredible job and provided us with beach chairs, a speaker, smores, and firewood around the clock! We had the best time dancing around the fire and got the best view of the full moon.

Day Five was spent doing exactly what we needed but not what anyone on our team is good at - relaxing. We napped, swam in the pool, went to the beach, and snacked throughout the day.

All in all, this year’s beach trip was unforgettable! We are so thankful we have the chance to do this every year. Also, another big thank you to the businesses that partnered with us and for 360Blue for providing the best beach house and even better customer service. See ya next year!
