We're (P)interested: How To Utilize Pinterest To Promote Your Brand

We love the full-circle moment of going from teens who used Pinterest solely for saving inspirational quotes and very 2012 fashion ideas to now utilizing it as a promotional tool for our business. Just like our other social media favorites Instagram and TikTok, Pinterest has become an optimal way for businesses to promote their services. For those who are (P)interested, we’re going to share how your brand can benefit from utilizing this social media platform by showcasing you and your clients’ work, planning photoshoots and events, and building your community!

Take the time to create boards centered around you and your clients' work. This can include linking blog posts, sharing photos from client shoots and showcasing logos you designed. Since Pinterest is all about sharing other peoples’ content, this is a great opportunity to get your business’s services out there. When you post pins of your work, it will be shared with your audience and potentially repinned and shared with their audiences, as well!

One of the easiest ways to utilize Pinterest is to brand it! Just like your other social media platforms, you can use your logo as your profile pic and a photo of your team as your header photo. Use your bio to tell your audience what kind of pins they can expect to see. For example, our bio lets our audience know they can expect pins aligned with our female agency – from design inspo to client projects. The best way to showcase your brand’s aesthetic is through the pins and moodboards you save and create. Our page screams AMD with pins of beach getaways, ocean waves, empowering quotes and of course, the color blue!

One of our favorite ways to use Pinterest is to gather inspo for Jetty Events! We love creating mood boards in order to better visualize what we want the theme and aesthetic of each event to be. Whether you’re planning events or photoshoots for you or your clients, Pinterest is a one-stop-shop for compiling ideas for shot lists, decor, attire, menus and more!

Just like other social media platforms, building a community is important for expanding your business’s online presence. Along with pinning brand-aligned content, it’s just as important to be following pages that also align with your brand. As an all-female creative agency, we want to reach other female creatives and potential clients, as well as gather ideas from fellow female creatives. Building a community on Pinterest may open the door to even more project opportunities!
