We're Falling For These Fall Trends 🍂

Working in the creative space day-to-day, we’re always keeping an eye out for fresh inspo. From graphic design techniques to photography styles and everything in between, we’re sharing a few creative trends we’ve been falling for that have been popping up this fall!

Graphic Design: Go Bold Or Go Home

Bold minimalism: “Less is more” is making a comeback in the graphic design world. We’re sure you’ve seen event graphics that basically just tell you what you need to know without all the excess noise and designs. In a busy world of content, we’re loving this clean and modern approach.

AI assisted design: We’ve seen many designers utilize AI software (like Midjourney) to gather inspo, create color palettes, build moodboards and create concepts. Canva and Adobe have integrated AI tech into their software: Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom all offer AI features that can alter images and generate patterns.

Nostalgia: Nostalgia is always “in” in our book. Who doesn’t love to reminisce? We’ve been seeing faded color palettes, funky patterns and black and white photos/collages make big waves in the social media graphic world this year.

Photography: It’s All In The Details

Faceless, detailed shots: Capturing products in the hands of “faceless” models promotes the usability by a diverse audience rather than focusing on a particular group of people. There’s an added level of inclusion, yet intrigue in the mystery.

Content Creation: You’ve Got The Cinema

Aspect ratio: We’ve seen creators show off their photos and videos in the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio we've come to expect from cinema. This simple change in aspect ratio can make even stills feel cinematic.

Interior Design: Smitten With Stripes

Stripes: The use of stripes in interior design adds that bold touch of masculinity in a room that may be filled with more feminine elements. A few years ago, we may have craved calm colors and tones during a chaotic time, but now, we’re living for bold designs that bring all the fun.

Lifestyle: Swoon For Maroon

Wine/Espresso color palette: There’s no better time than fall to indulge in some wine and espresso – the color palette that is. From mood boards to branding, we’re seeing this dynamic duo taking over the lifestyle world. One word: Rhode.

Quiet luxury: Instead of loud and “in your face” content, we’re seeing creators place a big emphasis on the minimalist aesthetic with muted color palettes, space, environment, textures and materials.
